This week I spent a lot of time trying to choose a still life that I both had the correct materials for and that I could have fun recreating. I tried a few, but ultimately thought I had the most success recreating this one.

For this week I chose to place my objects on a white table cloth and used a normal clip on desk lamp. I noticed the desk lamp was more yellowish so it definitely gave my photos a very warm glow. I also did mine in the evening so it was quite dark. I did struggle with variety and had trouble finding 20 shots that I felt weren't too similar.
I like any and all kinds of feedback!
Below are the 20 that I chose as well as 2 pictures of my setup.
Hi Everyone!
My name is Cassy. I am a Graphic Designer based in Massachusetts (Worcester to be exact). I also teach tennis on the side!
Photography has always been a side hobby of mine. However, other than a few intro classes I've never taken it too seriously. Therefore I would say I am able to use manual controls but I would definitely not consider myself super comfortable with them. I love taking pictures and preserving interesting things/places/scenes/textures that come across my path. That being said I do not have tons of experience with setting up studio lights and still life setups.
Looking forward to seeing everyone's work and learning a lot!!
For my two light sources I chose to use the natural light from a window and then a desk lamp. I also used my lightbox for some of the shoot....
